How many days do I need to visit Italy?

In fact it is a very difficult question, because probably even if I had a month available it would be very difficult to be able to visit all the main tourist places in Italy. That’s right, each region has many cities that are beautiful and worth visiting calmly. Italy is full of monuments, museums, churches, fountains, landscapes, in short, as you can imagine, there is no shortage of beauty in this country. But after all how many days do I need to visit Italy? Here at Your Travel to Italy with Ana Patricia you make the trip of your dreams!!! ALSO: see our “Accommodation in Italy – Tips for your holidays!”

Introduction

I get a lot of emails with this question, so I decided to make a post to try to provide general guidance on this issue. I have to remember that the distances are not always as short as they seem. Any shift will always make us lose so much time, such as: closing a suitcase, taking a taxi or other transport, or taking another transport such as train / bus, shifting (or trying not to get lost when traveling with a rental car), arriving in the other city, going to the hotel, opening the suitcase, finally, as you noticed, we will end up wasting a good time !!!

Anyway, it’s a rush and we’ll end up wasting at least 3 or 4 hours (at least a few times). Precisely for this reason I always advise not to travel with so many things to get to know Italy, because it ends up being even more tiring, but especially when planning the trip remember to calculate the hours that will be spent traveling from one city to another. Advice and Tips

Another tip is to remember that unfortunately in a 7 to 10 day trip we will not be able to see everything (this obviously thinking about Italy, it is very true), so get this thing out of your mind of wanting to see everything, not to end up happening the other way around, that is, instead of seeing everything you see nothing and you end up with a great feeling of frustration. The best thing about a trip so often is not getting to know all the main monuments, but walking through the streets, getting lost and getting to know those places that only the inhabitants know. Finding that hidden restaurant that ends up reserving us big surprises, is trying to get to know a little more about the culture, making friends with the locals, in short, LIVE the trip. First time in Italy?

My advice in the case of a first visit to get to know Italy, is to first visit the most classic tourist cities that are famous for so many reasons, precisely for this reason it is important to know them before dedicating yourself to smaller cities, and in case of having more time or a second trip, dedicate yourself to the other possibilities (which I guarantee will be endless) and I will comment in another post, always stay tuned on our blog Your Travel to Italy. Well, let’s get straight to the point, let’s try to answer the famous question? How many days do I need to visit Italy? I will try to answer in a very synthetic way because I will go into more detail about each city in other posts.
