There are several associations, in various regions and Italian cities, which help the disabled to make their trips comfortably and peacefully. For disabled people, Italian law recognizes people with disabilities in the same way as other countries. The list includes people with physical disabilities at all levels, people with visual impairments, people with mental disabilities, people with hearing impairments and people with mobility problems. To avoid possible problems, when traveling, a person with some type of disability must bring a medical report and / or a doctor’s note on letterhead, with the doctor’s name, professional registration number, date and place of issue.
