4) Backpacking in Europe: Eurail Pass! IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO PURCHASE THE PASS?
No, anyone can travel with the Eurail Pass. There is a price difference, according to the age group.
5) Backpacking in Europe: Eurail Pass! HOW MUCH DO THE PASSES COST?
Passes can be purchased for 3, 4, 5, 6 or 8 days within 1 month, with the Eurail One Country Pass! In other words, within 30 days, you can use the Eurail Pass in these available quantities, ok? With the Eurail Global Pass, you can buy the pass for a validity of 3 days to 3 months. In addition to the number of days chosen, prices vary according to the country chosen and the age group, as shown below and the prices are in dollars. - Youth Pass (12 to 27 years old): 143.00 to 251.00 dollars (1st class) and 112.00 to 198.00 dollars (2nd class);
- Adult Pass (28 to 59 years old): 190.00 to 335.00 dollars (1st class) and 149.00 to 264.00 dollars (2nd class);
- Senior Pass (60+): 172.00 to 301.00 dollars (1st class) and 135.00 to 237.00 dollars (2nd class);
- Child Pass (4 to 11 years old): Free.
Important to Know!
- Many trains require seat reservations, including 3 months in advance, and charge a reservation fee. You can make this reservation on the Eurail website;
- It may seem obvious, but it is important to remember that to travel with the Eurail Pass, minors must be accompanied by at least one adult;
- The Eurail Pass is ONLY valid for trains. Metros, trams, buses and bicycles are NOT included;
- The pass must be activated within 11 months after the date of issue.
