Located 36 km south of the capital of Puglia, Bari, the city is unparalleled in beauty! It is a practically untouched region and lives mainly from fishing, olive oil and tourism. Its historic center is supported by rocks surrounded by the waters of the splendid Adriatic Sea. We start with the historic center. The central point of the city, and where one of the most beautiful spots is, is Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II (Vittorio Emanuele II Square). There you can also visit the Mother church (Chiesa Matrice), which is the most important point in the city. The Church, although the city’s patron is Saint Vitus, is dedicated to Saint Mary of the Assumption. The city’s old port, Ponte Lama Monachile, is also worth visiting, as is Via Traiana. Continuing, visit the Arco Marchesale, which once became the only access road to Polignano a Mare, dazzles our eyes in an impressive way!

Three kilometers away, you can visit the Abbey of Saint Vitus; you can get there by the street that gives access to Mola di Bari. The building is from the 9th century and extremely well maintained. The city has approximately 80 caves, the most famous of which is the Palazzesse Cave, where a beautiful hotel and restaurant are located!
